About Me

I am a PhD student in the Sigmedia Group at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) under the supervision of Prof. Naomi Harte. I am supported by The Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality (d-real). My PhD project centres around multimodal speech recognition, and I am currently focusing on audio-visual speech recognition. Previously I was a visiting PhD student at Imperial College London, hosted by Dr. Stavros Petridis and Prof. Maja Pantic .

Before joining TCD, I received my MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, and BEng degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Xidian University, China. During my master, I worked with Prof. Odette Scharenborg and Dr. Tanvina Patel on whispered speech recognition.

Research Interests

• Speech Recognition: audio-visual speech recognition, atypical speech recognition
• Multimodal Learning: multimodal fusion, audio-visual learning
