About Me

I am a PhD student in the Sigmedia Group at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) under the supervision of Prof. Naomi Harte. I am supported by The Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality (d-real). My PhD project centres around multimodal speech recognition, and I am currently focusing on audio-visual speech recognition. I am currently a visiting PhD student at Imperial College London, working with Stavros Petridis.

Before joining TCD, I received my MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, and BEng degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Xidian University, China. During my master, I worked with Dr. Odette Scharenborg and Dr. Tanvina Patil on whispered speech recognition.

• Speech Recognition: audio-visual speech recognition, atypical speech recognition
• Multimodal Learning: multimodal fusion, audio-visual learning

• [Sep. 2025] I joined Imperial College London as a visiting PhD student, working with Stavros Petridis.
• [Dec. 2024] One paper has been accepted to ICASSP 2025.
• [Oct. 2023] I started my PhD journey at Trinity College Dublin.
• [Sep. 2023] My first paper about whispered speech recognition has been accepted at ASRU 2023.
• [Aug. 2023] I graduated with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Delft University of Technology!
